Our Classes @ La Tasca Restaurante, Cheltenham

Gavin & Rossella offer a beginners class  from 8pm that offers moves, not just steps and counting – so you can get stuck in to the dance from the word “Go”!!!!

Concurrent with the beginners Improvers will be with Leandro & Natalie from 8pm also - For those of you confident to get into some partnerwork paterns to make your freestyle great to watch..

From 9.15pm Leandro & Natalie will bring you some of the best and latest moves at an advanced level

We base the majority of our style on the famous 'Casino' style, which is fantastic for showing off.  We also aim to incorporate 'The Son', a very traditional and original style of elegance in Cuba, elements of other styles such as 'Mambo', 'Rumba' and more into the mix. You will gain an understanding of how to lead, move your body, feel the music and a culture and even some language element too. You will learn the moves in Spanish and English, which will prepare you for the ’Wheel’ – ‘La Rueda’. We will introduce this monthly, based on progress...

We always like to do a fun workshop during the night, so will give a variety of styles in addition.  These range from fun Cha, Cha, Cha's, Conga's, Rumbas, Reggaeton's and Bachata's to Merengue's...

Aything goes in Cuban Salsa, there are no rules except that we wish for you to feel comfortable, free and really enjoy your experience.  Shoes are not important, though should you wish to consider purchasing professional dance shoes at any time, feel free to use our suggestions on the Links menu of the site...
